I am not sure what happens to my brain when I get up here on MV, but for some reason I put 2012 in the title of this blog and I can't seem to change it. Time flies when you are having fun!

Heavy Weather Ahead

Battening down the hatches here on the Island. Tropical Storm Andrea is bearing down here. Hoping we don't lose power. Kimball Cottage is on a high hill where the wind really blows hard. I think I will run over to the beach to see some big waves. Meanwhile the rain pours down, but it is nice and snug here in the cottage.

Outdoor oven at Polly Hill

This is a huge outdoor oven at Polly Hill Arboretum. The yellow lichen on the stonework is an inspiring shade of mustardy yellow.

West Meadow Sign

The sign to West Meadow, painted by Katherine Urban in need of a touch up. Some pranksters stole the sign one summer but it was luckily recovered in the garbage at the Chilmark Store.
